  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare the Green Beans: Trim and wash the green beans. Blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.

Stovetop Method:

  • Sauté green beans in the skillet with bacon drippings for a few minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the green beans, add crumbled bacon, and stir to coat.
  • Simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Oven Method:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place green beans in a baking dish, pour sauce over them, and sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  • Combine green beans, sauce, and crumbled bacon in the crockpot.
  • Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, use turkey bacon and reduce the amount of brown sugar.
  • Frozen green beans can be used; thaw and drain them before cooking.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on your preferred level of green bean tenderness.
