- 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce low-sodium preferred
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Prepare the Green Beans: Trim and wash the green beans. Blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Stovetop Method:
Sauté green beans in the skillet with bacon drippings for a few minutes.
