Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Breasts – boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness.
  • Olive Oil – For searing the chicken.
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced.
  • ½ cup Chicken Broth - for the sauce base.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream creamy texture.
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • cup Sun-Dried Tomatoes chopped.
  • Red Pepper Flakes – A pinch for subtle heat.
  • Fresh Basil – For garnish.
  • Salt and Pepper – To season.

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Create the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Toss in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and simmer for 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.

Combine and Simmer

  • Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle fresh basil over the chicken and sauce.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Pound the Chicken Evenly: This ensures it cooks evenly and stays juicy.
  • Don’t Skip the Sear: Browning the chicken adds a layer of flavor that’s worth the extra step.
  • Adjust the Heat: Add more or less red pepper flakes depending on your spice tolerance.
  • Make It Ahead: The dish reheats beautifully, so you can prepare it in advance.
